Summer Garden Cooking class
Spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon in my garden as we celebrate the bounty of summer with a cooking class inspired by the vegetables growing just steps from the kitchen. We’ll begin with a guided garden tour, where you’ll have the opportunity to harvest fresh tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, and peppers while learning some of our favorite tips for growing your own vegetables at home.
Back in the kitchen, we’ll transform our harvest into a delicious seasonal vegetarian feast. We’ll start with bruschetta topped with sun-ripened cherry tomatoes, followed by homemade cavatelli tossed with roasted San Marzano tomato sauce. We’ll grill Italian eggplants and marinate them with olive oil, vinegar, garlic, and fresh mint, prepare a classic Calabrian tomato and sweet red onion salad, and pan-fry sweet Italian peppers until perfectly tender.
