Spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon in my garden, where we’ll celebrate the bounty of summer with a cooking class inspired by the vegetables growing just steps from the kitchen. You’ll begin with a guided tour through the garden, where you can pick fresh tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, and peppers, and learn a few of our favorite tips for growing your own vegetables.
Back in the kitchen, we’ll turn our harvest into a delicious seasonal feast. We’ll start with bruschetta topped with sun-ripened cherry tomatoes, followed by homemade pasta tossed with roasted San Marzano tomato sauce. Then, we’ll prepare ciambotta, a rustic summer vegetable stew, and our tomato salad with sweet Calabrian red onions. We’ll also pan-fry sweet Italian peppers until perfectly tender. And if there’s still room after this garden-to-table spread, we’ll finish with a sweet surprise to end the day on the perfect note
