Sicilian Street Food: A Taste of Palermo
Join me for a hands-on culinary adventure inspired by the vibrant streets of Palermo! In this class, we’ll recreate some of my favorite Sicilian street foods, starting with arancine—the iconic golden rice balls—prepared in two traditional Palermo styles. Next, we’ll fry up panelle, crispy chickpea fritters that are a beloved street snack, followed by sfincione, Palermo’s signature thick-crust pizza, baked to perfection. To end on a sweet note, we’ll make authentic cannoli from scratch—hand-rolling the shells and filling them with homemade ricotta cream, finished with my signature candied orange peel. Come hungry, ready to cook, and ready to savor the flavors of Sicily—it's the next best thing to being there!
