What can I expect when I come to a class?

Classes are hands-on. The students prepare the entire meal, which usually consists of five courses. I supply all the ingredients, tools, and, of course, the recipes. Aprons are the only item not supplied, so please bring one with you to the class. You are also welcome to bring your own bottle of wine.

How long do the classes last?

Classes begin 4:00 pm, unless otherwise specified, and last for 3 to 3-and-a-half hours.

What should I wear to class?

Flat shoes and comfortable clothing are required for your safety and comfort. Please avoid high heels and open-toed shoes or sandals. Wearing an apron is highly recommended to protect your clothing.

Where are the classes located?

I teach my cooking classes in my own private kitchen, located in the Oakland hills, CA. Classes are limited to 10 students.

How much does a class cost?

Most lessons cost $150 per person; special classes vary in cost depending on the menu.

How do I register for a class?

The easiest way to register for a class is online using the button at the bottom of each class description. Within 48 hours you will receive a reservation confirmation via email. If you do not want to use a credit card, you can mail me a check. Please contact me for the mailing address.

Can I join a class that is sold out?

If you are interested in a class that is sold out, please fill out the waiting list form for the class you would like to attend and you will be added to the wait list. You will be notified if there is an opening. If there is a high demand for a specific class, I will be happy to add an additional class at a future date.

How do I purchase a gift certificate?

You can purchase a gift certificate online. If you do not want to purchase it online, you can mail me a check. Please contact me for the address.

How do I redeem my gift certificate?

Email me with the name and date of the class that you want to register for, as well as the gift certificate number that you are redeeming. I will then send you a reservation confirmation.

What is your cancellation policy?

No refunds are issued, only credit. If you cannot come to a class, please notify me 48 hours in advance to receive credit towards a future class for use within the next 12 months. If you must cancel less than 48 hours before a class, you may send someone in your place. No credit can be issued for late cancellations or missed classes. In the rare occasion that a class is cancelled, you can either select another class or receive a full refund.
