A Taste of Sicily
In a “Taste of Sicily,” we will travel to Palermo where you will learn how to make some of my favorite dishes from my adopted city.
Our first course will be pasta with cauliflower, flavored with saffron, raisins and pine nuts. The second course will be pork rolls stuffed and grilled, accompanied by a salad of fresh fennel and oranges. We will also make a large batch of caponata to enjoy as an appetizer and a side dish.
Our Sicilian dinner will end with an ice cream found in Palermo, gelato al cannolo, all the ingredients of the famous cannoli siciliani come together in this ice cream.

Caponata (Sweet and sour eggplant stew)
Pasta con broccoli arriminati (Bucatini pasta with cauliflower, raisins, pine nuts and saffron)
Spiedini di Maiale (Stuffed pork bundles skewered and grilled)
Insalata di Finocchi e Arance (Salad of blood oranges, fennel and olives)
Gelato al Cannolo (Ricotta cream, cannoli shells, chocolate chips and candied orange peel)
